Have you ever wondered about the future of the human-animals interactions with the rise of AI?  In this video, we honor the life and legacy of Prof. Milton Thiago de Mello (1916 – 2024), who shared his visionary insights on humanity, creativity, and achieving success by embracing one’s uniqueness. The video was premiered at SLAprim 2024, the V Congreso Latinoamericano de Primatología in Pereira, Colombia, as part of the tribute to Prof. Milton Thiago de Mello. 

My hope is that this tribute continues to inspire others, just as Prof. Milton inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Released in 2023, his documentary series by Radiotelevisión de Veracruz explores the delicate coexistence between spider monkeys and humans in the Yucatán Peninsula. Developed in collaboration with the Universidad Veracruzana and the CONAHCyT’s Ciencia de Frontera project, the research examines how deforestation and urban development intensify interactions between species. By studying spider monkey behavior and human-animal relationships, the series aims to foster empathy and mutual understanding. The six episodes offer insights into biodiversity conservation and urban coexistence, promoting environmental awareness.
