I am collaborating with Masthead by creating collectible thank you cards with pink flowers and ballerinas.
Masthead, a women-owned business, offers surgical bras with customizable breast support along with side openings and ribbon loops to hold port-surgery drains. The soft fabric offers extra care of those tender post-surgery moments.

In 2008, I led and designed the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign “CuĂdate dĂa a dĂa” for the Universidad Veracruzana. I coordinated efforts across multiple organizations, including Zona Tienda Universitaria, the Center for Human and Integral Development (Cendhiu), and institutional communication channels, to create a cohesive marketing strategy. For this campaign, I collaborated with the Direction of Media Communications and the School of Theatre to create an audiovisual guide on how to perform a breast self-exam at home. I developed the branding and visual identity for the campaign, which included designing promotional materials and a series of free bookmarks featuring self-examination instructions. These materials were distributed in several events to raise awareness and fund support for women in need within the university community and to the general public through presentations at events like professional basketball games at Halcones de Xalapa and concerts by the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra.

In 2017, I collaborated with the Department of Sports Activities and the Office for Gender Equity at Universidad Veracruzana to start the conversation about gender stereotypes in sports that disfavor women.
The panel, titled The Science of Happiness: Women in Sports and part of the Más Allá de la Ciencia (Beyond Science) TV show, was led by national medalists and university leaders who talked about how female athletes continue to defy outdated stereotypes of fragility and submission, proving that women can be strong, competitive, and capable in every sport. The conversation expanded to the cultural expectation that sports are for men, the underrepresentation of women in leadership roles in sports, and the disparity in recognition and strict beauty standards compared to male athletes.
The event sought to challenge the outdated narratives that limit women’s participation in sports, advocating for better support of female athletes in Mexico. By fostering thoughtful discussion and engaging the university community, my goal in creating this project was not only to start the conversation about the often-overlooked issue of gender disparities in sports, but also to build a supportive community and, most importantly, to inspire women and young athletes to persevere despite the significant social inequalities they may face.
